Are You Drinking Enough Water?

Living at the beach my whole life as made me LOVE water. I love to swim in it, I love to play in the rain (jumping in puddles is not only for little kids), watching it when it's peaceful and angry, and everything in between. 

There is so much magic in water. Did you know that water can exist in all three states of matter at the same time: liquid, gas, and solid? Try it out, be in the hot tub and watch the steam come off it while and ice cubes float around. Super cool! I'm kind of a science geek too. 

But why am I writing to you about water??? 
You need to be drinking it! And lots of it. 

On average a person should consume about 60% of their body weight in water a DAY! 1 DAY So do the math, see what that number is for you. But please if you are not a water drinker, do not start drinking that much on day one. It needs to be a process. 

If you only consume one cup of water a day, try to drink two cups for a few days. Then in a few days add another cup. Continue this process until you are about 60% of your body weight. 

Why is this important?
60% of the human body is made up of water, so we need to keep it restored. By drinking more water you will see so many benefits to your health. Such as:

One other thing to be grateful for is the fact that we have CLEAN water available to us so easily. "663 million people in the world live without clean water." according to  This organization is making whole strides towards changing these numbers and giving everyone access to clean water.
